A well-balanced bag is one of the most important tools for a port chaplain during ship visits. If the bag is too small, you may not carry enough resources to truly help the seafarers — such as brochures, SIM cards, devotional materials, snacks, chargers, PPE, or small gifts. But if the bag is too large or overloaded, it becomes heavy and cumbersome, especially when climbing steep gangways or moving around a working vessel. An oversized bag can affect your balance and become a safety hazard while climbing the gangway.
